BibleStart.com is an on-line resource to help busy parents teach their pre-schoolers age-appropriate Bible knowledge, values, and behavior. BibleStart.com lessons are designed to take only minutes a day and produce fast, effective results in your child. The 10 courses/100 lessons available are written and illustrated with the goal of helping nurture and develop your child. Each lesson is designed to grow with your child as he or she matures.
We at BibleStart.com believe that scripture memory is important at any age. However, BibleStart.com lessons concentrate on Biblical principles more so than on exact scripture memory. We have paraphrased scripture in the lessons in a manner that is age appropriate for young children. The original scripture that the lesson is derived from is provided for you at the bottom of each page of the lesson. This gives you the option of incorporating full scripture memorization if you so choose.
You can expect your child to retain Biblical principles, values, and beliefs when our program is followed as recommended. Learning through BibleStart.com lessons is achieved three ways. First, once your child has gone through the lesson a couple of times your child will likely be able to recite the text, which is age appropriate paraphrases of scripture, when she sees the pictures. Second, as you take your child through the lessons each day you will be able to help your child explore the interactions that are taking place between the characters represented. Third, you have the choice to use the application suggestions at the end of each lesson, or use ideas of your own.
It is quick, easy, and simple! In just minutes a day you can have a meaningful Bible study with your child. You can rest in the satisfaction that you are providing Biblical training and equipping your child to interact with other children and adults in positive ways. As a parent you will be spiritually blessed by experiencing the lessons with your child and witnessing his or her spiritual development.
BibleStart.com is designed to grow with your child. The same pictures are used in all age levels of a lesson but the wording changes. A typical lesson page contains 3 to 5 words for 1 to 2 year olds, 5 to 8 words for 3 to 4 year olds, and 8 to 12 words for 5 to 6 year olds. As your child grows and more words are introduced, the level of understanding deepens.
After subscribing, simply log on and go through the four pages of a lesson. Read the text to your child, spending a minute or two each day in a given lesson. At the end of each lesson you will find Practical Application ideas for reinforcing the lesson throughout the week. Typically, by the second or third day, children ages 3 and older will be able to recite the lesson text simply by seeing the related images, much like they would with typcial story books. Even younger children who can not yet speak clearly will be trying to "tell the story". This form of memorization further reinforces the lesson objectives in your child. You may repeat the lessons with your child again and again. Spending one week per lesson is recommended because the repetition and application helps children retain the Biblical principles. Complete the lessons in the order they are given for maximum benefit to you and your child. When your child has completed a course, you can print off a Certificate of Course Completion for your little achiever!
There are 100 available lessons. They are divided into 10 courses, so each course consists of 10 lessons.
BibleStart is an on-line only resource. However, subscribers have permission to print off and use BibleStart lessons in accordance with the copyright rules provided for in the BibleStart Terms and Conditions.
BibleStart was created by a family of parents and grandparents who wanted help training the children in their family in Biblical knowledge, values, and behavior. However, no apologies are made for staying as true to the Word of God as possible.

First, a lesson topic or need is identified. Then, BibleStart.com lesson writers use established BibleStart.com guidelines to identify supporting scriptures. Once the foundational verses have been identified the writers create the age appropriate text for 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6 year olds. A BibleStart.com editor then checks the lesson for scriptural accuracy and application. The next step is for a BibleStart.com artist to generate vibrant and intriguing images to support the lesson. The images are important not only because they reflect the key concepts of the lesson, but also because the images will be the cue for your child to recite the lesson content from memory. The completed lesson is then reviewed for acceptance or for changes by the entire staff. Once finalized the lesson is added to the BibleStart.com curriculum.

The use of the term “parent” is used to represent the varied group of concerned caregivers (whether foster parents, adoptive parents, grandparents, other individuals, etc.) who desire to invest in young children in order to enrich their lives and train them to honor God. Also, while most of the Application Ideas refer to “your child”, occasionally we refer to “him” or her”. Of course, regardless of the label, each application can apply to girls and boys.
